The year that had passed since I last spoke to him had been one of those that really “got my attention.” Life seems to have a way of doing that from time to time. Over the year, I experienced new seasons of understanding and transformation I never thought possible. Relinquishing a thought system based largely on fear and negativity, by training my mind to focus on love and positivity, changed my whole life in ways many people would find impossible to believe.
Over the year, I finally found the missing pieces within for which I always longed. I found the woman inside me who knows what she’s truly worth; whose said worth doesn’t come from another human being or an accomplishment.
A woman whose beauty beams from a radiant light within that sparkles and shines, touching others with warm embers of peace, compassion, and joy. A woman capable of admiring someone else’s beauty without questioning her own. A woman who refuses to define others or herself by outward appearances.
I found the woman inside me who loves herself enough to renounce poisonous people, thoughts, and situations. A woman who seeks only the very best things and relationships in her life. A woman who desires to inspire and help others by using her God-given gifts, who isn’t afraid to bust it each and every day to manifest her dreams and live the remarkable life she dared to imagine.
I found the woman inside me courageous enough to write and share this story.
