I will always be here
In your darkest hour
When drowning in tears
Fighting the fear
Moment by moment
Day by day
Your learning to trust me
In a beautiful way
Sometimes you can’t feel me
The lie says I don’t care
The accuser of us
Seems always to be there
Battlefields you know
So deep in your mind
Piercing your heart
An unconscious sign
Your war is not over
Someday it will be
Refuse to give in
Truth does set you free
You served me with honor
Through thick and through thin
Not for money or glory
For your fellow man
So how could you doubt
That I have a plan
How could you question
My merciful hand
Own your warzone
Your mind no matter the cost
Refuse to submit
Treating fear as the enemy it is
Take doubt and despair
The incoming words
Grab your weapons of warfare you know
Blow the hell out of all
Discouraging thoughts
Drive them out
For the poison they are
Your needed here stateside
needed at home
freedoms price
will take time to heal
Time is a friend
Peace like a river
Patience and virtue your guides
Learn to breathe in and out
Your future is sure
In the arms of the one who loves you
I will always be here
In your darkest hour
When drowning in tears
Fighting the fear
Moment by moment
