sun-soaked canvas-

America bled.

decades later,

some of us are still at war-

we cannot come home.

The cost

of freedom

is eternal

vigilance-

selfless

sacrifice.

In a locked closet

citations for nightmares-

heroes and horrors.

Saints and Sinners-

we are all the same,

turning of the shattered hourglass.
