How many remember Democrats shouting, “Racist!”
What about, “Sexist!”
Or remember the screams of, “Homophobe!”
Do you remember Politico’s April 17, 2016, article floating the possibility of impeaching Trump even before he was the Republican nominee? To quote Politico’s senior policy reporter, Darren Samuelsohn: “’Impeachment’ is already on the lips of pundits, newspaper editorials, constitutional scholars, and even a few members of Congress.”
Hear something over and over again, you start to believe it. Unfortunately, for Democrats, their labels of President Trump did not create enough outrage as they wished. The labels placed on our President did however play a key role in the start of a bigger Democrat initiative known as a “shaping operation.” But what is a “Shaping Operation?”
According to U.S. Army Field Manual FM 3-0, “A shaping operation is an operation at any echelon that creates and preserves conditions for the success of the decisive operation.” Within, one must understand that a shaping operation is meant to “create conditions.” For the Democrat political elite, the condition being created is nothing more than grooming the masses, i.e. voters, to see President Trump as nothing but bad. Democrats want the world to believe the President is a bad businessman, a bad husband, a racist, sexist, and homophobe. Maybe he is all these things. Maybe he isn’t. What matters, however, is the perception garnered.
FM 3-0 continues by stating, “Shaping operations establish conditions for the decisive operation through effects on the enemy, population (including local leaders), and terrain.”
Decisive, as in producing a definite result, is the ultimate goal. When it comes to the impeachment debacle, that definite result is three-fold—Securing the House of Representatives, Retaking the Senate, and ensuring the President serves one term. The labels initially created by Democrats did in fact serve a purpose and that was ensuring a negative connotation presented itself in the minds of as many individuals as possible anytime President Trump is heard.
But the labels were not enough. Democrats needed more. And more is exactly what they presented via the Russian collusion quagmire–a quagmire that, for many right-leaning voters, backfired. But did it backfire?
Many assume the Russian collusion investigation was intended to impeach the President. An argument can be made that whether that was the intent or not, the purpose of the investigation was far greater than that. There was a greater purpose behind the Russian collusion hoax and it actually worked. It worked in the sense that it assisted Democrats in promoting their shaping operation and ensuring it does not end. Simply put, the Russian collusion debacle helped promote the Democrat pitch, to the masses, of how horrible our President really is.
The shaping operation itself is promoted by emotional outrage. Democrats appear to be playing a very unique game with individual emotions specifically targeting key demographics.
Racism—destroy any Republican minority votes.
Sexism—take away female votes from Republicans.
Homophobe—you guessed it.
It is difficult to argue that the Democrat shaping operation is not working. People are outraged. People are building political fires. And, Republicans are running frantically in an attempt to extinguish these infernos. And here we are today facing an impeachment inquiry. To date, this inquiry is not based on first-hand account testimonies but rather witness hearsay and worse, emotional outrage. This is an inquiry where House Democrats know the Senate will destroy once it works its way to the next level of the impeachment process. And since they know this, one should ask the critical question— “Why then even bother?”
Why are House Democrats moving forward with the impeachment inquiry? An election cycle is right around the corner. In less than twelve months, the American people will place votes on ballots. Democrats do not want voters to cast votes on who is the best candidate but rather they wish voters to cast their votes on emotional outrage fueled by a multi-year shaping operation. Democrats do not want the masses to know about shaping operations, influence operations, deception, or PSYOP initiatives.
They do not want the masses to know about the 1999 treaty President Bill Clinton signed and titled as, “Treaty Between the United States of America and Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters.” Nor do they want the masses to have any insight on anything President Trump actually enacted that would be considered “good” according to their social values like the recently enacted “First Step Act” for prison reform or the 2018 Farm Bill, section 10113, which legalized industrial hemp.
No, the only thing Democrats seek at this time is not necessarily an impeachment of our President but rather job security and they are doing that through a very unique, completely legal, shaping operation. Democrats are playing a very unique game and it is a game that could potentially help them secure the House, take over the Senate, and emplace one of their own in the President’s seat.
And now the question begs . . .
“What can Republicans do to counter the Democrat shaping operation initiative?” As things stand, it appears as though that answer is a big . . .
Nothing.
But, according to insiders close to the beltway, something may actually be in the works to counter the Democrat shaping operation. Allegedly, it is very damaging and yet may actually backfire against Republicans as well.
So, what is it?
