Hamody Jasim was an Iraqi who worked with American forces in Iraq. In fact, he was so good that they called him “The Terrorist Whisperer.”
All seven of my combat deployments were with Special Operations units, and three of them were in Iraq. So although I don’t know Jasim, I know firsthand the value of the kinds of things that only someone like him can provide. And apparently so does General (Retired) David Petraeus, who endorses Jasim’s book and appears on video in his documentary.
Jasim relates his experiences in the appropriately-titled “Terrorist Whisperer” book.
Even better, Jasim is setting up a screening of the documentary based on his life and is trying to connect with veterans in the Portland area who might want to check it out. It looks pretty interesting to me (click here to see the trailer):
