Written by Special Guest: Bryan “Gannicus” Myers.

-A flag is folded-

-Roll is called-

-21-gun salute-

We aspire to be great, we train as we fight,

We are daydreamers who own the dead of night.

We become savage, the best among the average.

We never rest to become average among the best.

Of course, it doesn’t have any baggage.

175 grain shots backed by boat tails,

turn to 80 proof shots off bar rails.

What I dream? Devils, funerals, details

Then somehow the hand of my daughter

Was replaced with the handle of a bottle.

And now I feel so hollow.

Written by Bryan “Gannicus” Myers. He served 11 ½ years active duty where most of his career was in the 82nd as an 11B, 1BCT 2/504 PIR (White Devils). He was recently featured in the documentary “My Fighting Season” (episodes 1 and 6) produced by Ricky Schroder.
