I live my life by the words I write.
Tired face famished for a warm welcome day.
I scribble and scraw to in joy our plight.
Unwelcome night, restrained with all my might.
First I nourish, then harvest my traveler today.
I live my life by the words I write.
Eager for the breath of right.
All rise insane superb to see no gray.
Because I scribble and scraw to enjoy our plight.
My faded words, written by cool lamplight.
An absent crowd, in my mind they stay. In my words they play.
Because I live my life by the words I write.
Distant peace, a place welcome my good fight.
Wrestle this sorrow sonnet, then righteous will pray.
I scribble and scraw to in joy our plight.
Curse, bless what is right. I welcome thee to my wholesome fight.
And you, a muse atop my weighted tray.
I live my life by the words I write
I scribble and scraw to enjoy our plight.
